Unceded Voices: Anticolonial Street Artists Convergence is a muralists and street artists’ gathering that took place taking place in Tiohtià:ke/Montreal during the months of August 2014, 2015, and 2017 in three neighbourhoods: Mile Ex/Little Italy, Plateau Mont-Royal, and Little Burgundy. The goal of this convergence is three-fold: to develop a network of solidarity and support between BIPOC and women/non binary/2SLGBTQIA+ street artists, to promote anticolonial resistance through diverse street art interventions (murals, wheatpastes, stencils, textile art, installations, performances) and to foster relationships and dialogue between the artists and the broader community in each neighbourhood.
